Cruises — Amanda Reid Talks About Adventure on Board the Queen Mary 2

What’s it like to program the activities for a world cruise? Paul and Elizabeth chat with Amanda Reid, Entertainment Director of Cunard Line’s QM2 on a segment of the ship’s 2018 World Cruise.
Amanda oversees all the onboard activities from the guest lecturers to the orchestra playing for the tea dances. Having started out as a dancer, Amanda has spent much of her life at sea. Hear how that experience has given Amanda a global perspective on people and life.

Lovely to listen to your interview with Amanda Reid, a real ocean travel pro, and even a tv-star, as a main part of the BBC documentary series “The Cruise” in 1997 when she worked as the social hostess onboard Celebrity Cruises’ “Galaxy”, at the time the brand new flagship of the company.
In July 2000, during the maiden voyage of Celebrity Cruises’ new flagship, the “Millennium”, I had the pleasure to meet Amanda in Stockholm, as she had reposistioned to this ship.
It would be delightful to meet up with Amanda again on the seven seas

Thanks for the response. We Sailed on the inaugural of the Millennium and remember it fondly including the art from Tina Chandras’ expertise.
