Death Valley National Park Is A Great Winter Destination
National Parks correspondent John Poimiroo reports on the treasures of Death Valley National Park and why it is a perfect place to spend a winter vacation. Clear skies for great celestial views, incredible natural scenery and even the legacy left by Death Valley Scotty. You can even see the ruts in the desert left by early wagon trains. And in winter the salt flats can turn into shallow lakes if it rains enough and of course if the rain comes at just the right time and quantity the wild flowers turn the desert into a carpet of flowers.
